Study on the Formal Framework of Freedom of Assembly in the Left Bank Region of the Republic of Moldova

The authors of this paper do not, by any means, support the existence of the self-proclaimed authorities in the eastern territory of the Republic of Moldova and recognize only the Constitutional authorities of the Republic of Moldova. The aim of the document is to provide an argued assessment of the freedom of assembly situation on the left bank region of the Republic of Moldova.

Any documents or facts that are presented in this study, which are qualified by the self-proclaimed authorities from the left bank region of the Republic of Moldova as lawful documents and procedures, are void and do not have any legal value. The meaning of their presentation is strictly related to providing full and comprehensive information and data-based argumentation on the status of Freedom of Assembly in the region and the compliance with international standards.

The eastern region of the Republic of Moldova is temporarily outside the control of the constitutional authorities and acts, therefore the freedom of assembly is subjected to the formal provisions issued by the self-proclaimed authorities. The study discusses the provisions, procedures and limits of freedom of assembly provided by the documentation issued by the self-proclaimed authorities of the so-called priednestrovian moldavian republic (further on pmr).
